Dr. Nathaniel Wilson III
Psychologist
Dr. Wilson is the creator and co-owner of the Atlanta Center for Family Wellness (ACFW), which is centrally located in midtown Atlanta.
Dr. Wilson has received his Doctorate of Psychology (Psy. D.) in Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver and his Masters degree in Psychology from Regis University.

With over 23 years of clinical mental health experiences, he is best known for his ability to provide culturally-focused treatment to help people lead a more balanced and authentic life.
Selected achievements include On Common Ground News publication, “Metro Atlanta’s Top Docs. (2013) and Five Star Purple Dragonfly Book Award’s recipient for a children’s book entitled, “Jessie’s Big Move” (2011).

In recent years Dr. Wilson has served as a consultant for an African-centered*, rites of passage activity. This has included work with differing community groups, families and organizations for implementing culturally-relevant, coming of age services for both children and youth regardless of gender identification.
Further, Dr. Wilson specializes in men’s emotional health throughout the lifespan, men’s relationship and parenting dynamics, intimacy concerns, men’s trauma as well as an expert on toxic masculinity.
*African-Centered is defined here as a way of thinking and behaving, that’s akin to immutable African principles, a divergent Black heritage and noteworthy ancestry, which embraces harmonious interaction, reconciliation, intrinsic knowledge and mutual responsibility among other philosophical assumptions for improved mental health, regardless of racial background or other sociocultural experiences.
